Establishing client relationships

The following are the terms of use for an information provider to act on behalf of a PICA in the NAIT system:

  1. Information provider accepts to comply with these conditions of access.
  2. Information provider accepts to comply with the NAIT Information System Terms of Use, that includes but not limited to the following:
    - The NAIT information system and information held in the NAIT information system must only be accessed for the purpose of fulfilling NAIT obligations or ensuring these obligations are fulfilled.
    - Information available on the NAIT information system must not be disclosed to any third party.
    - All care must be taken to ensure the privacy and security of any information extracted from the NAIT information system.
  3. Information provider declares having a written contract with the PICA that the organisation will start acting on behalf of.
  4. Information provider declares verbal approval of the PICA is obtained where signing a contact is not practical.
  5. Completion of this transaction will trigger an email notification to the PICA who owns the NAIT number(s) that advises them that your organisation is able to act on behalf of their NAIT accounts.    
  6. A NAIT information providers can:
    - Register a person as a PICA or delegate.
    - Register animals on behalf of A PICA.
    - Update animal information on behalf of A PICA.
    - Record animal movements on behalf of A PICA.
  7. Use of the NAIT information system other than functions summarised above (6) is not allowed. In order to ensure compliance with conditions of access, NAIT Limited will monitor:
    - Information providers’ access to NAIT accounts.
    - Use of reports available in the NAIT system.
    - Suspicious usage behaviour and audit this where appropriate.
  8. Complaints lodged by PICAs regarding information providers’ activity on their accounts will be investigated and action taken where required.
  9. NAIT Limited, at its own discretion, can suspend accounts of users who use the NAIT system out of its legitimate purposes.
  10. NAIT Limited, at its own discretion, can suspend or revoke accreditation status of an organisation if any linked accounts use the NAIT system out of its legitimate purposes.
